Spring Sparks New Beginnings, Strengthening International Ties
As trees begin to blossom and life's wondrous vitality is reborn, PRECO has much to announce this spring. Safety technology is changing, and significant headway has been made with the help of international dealers and the introduction of new partnerships and integrative solutions.
Moving towards a safer on-road experience, PRECO introduced its latest development, PreView Side Defender®II. Mitigating incidents between on-road vehicles near vulnerable road users (VRU) such as bicyclists, motorcyclists, pedestrians and other vehicles with blind spot technology, Side Defender®II is a global solution designed to exceed safety standards for heavy-duty vehicles traveling in crowded urban areas.
As proximity sensing and object detection technology begin to make headway, industries are closer to safer operations and the future of automation than ever before. The big picture surrounding the safety needs of heavy equipment is expanding beyond mirrors and cameras, and in the mining industries PRECO’s technology supports solutions for levels of automation, among others. A topic in which the recent Engineering and Mining Journal article, “Engineering Safety Solutions to Meet Real-World Scenarios,” delves.
Sharing its solutions and newly announced Danfoss partnership, PRECO was able to meet customers and dealers, new and established alike, from across the world at bauma 2019, in Munich, Germany, the construction industries largest international show of the year. And, this season, with the help of international dealers who nurture PRECO’s global connections, and partners who help develop a broader range of solutions, PRECO now brings customers innovative systems which exceed current requirements and improve safety better than ever before.
Safety Matters
bauma 2019 Wrap Up
Occurring every three years, bauma acts as a place for the industries to hammer out details and make plans for the future with those who serve them. Providing excellent opportunities such as these; openings to interact personally with attendees, and educate those who approach booths in a way a magazine ad or email cannot. As the foremost international trade fair for construction and mining, bauma does not merely address the industry’s existing state of affairs, but the future of innovation.
PRECO Electronics Recognizes Fernando Figueroa with the 2018 Excellence in Safety Award

Engineering Safety Solutions to Meet Real World Scenarios
When it comes to radar sensors, the device must operate properly by detecting objects, but must also provide a meaningful user/operator experience. Testing specifications will detail detection requirements, but do not mention user experience. The engineering team works hard behind the scenes programming and testing until our radar sensors provide alerts for the objects that directly affect the vehicles and safety of those around it.
